Repeat this as many times as necessary until you begin to feel a calmness settle into your soul and a gentle smile begin to cross your face. Peace and happiness is achieved through this practice, even in unchartered waters, when you let calmness be your guide.

These days we are currently living may not be easy, and the boundaries we’ve been asked to abide by often feel difficult and uncomfortable. I believe though that if we imagine ourselves to look back at this current time from a place in the future, we will understand that it is worth our efforts.
Staying home, being safe and surrounded by the calmness of our homes and amongst our own belongings… there is comfort and peace to be found in that. We’ve been asked to do worse things.
Calmness and kindness will guide us
Talk with your family and friends. Reach out by phone, text, media group chats, social platforms (e.g. Face Time, Zoom, Messenger chat)… the list goes on. Write a note and go to your parents or grandparents home and hold it to their window so they can see your face and read what you’ve written if you aren’t able to go inside and be with them. Guide their thoughts positively, helping to bring a sense of security and calmness to them as well. We all need that, perhaps now more than ever before.
Have food and flowers delivered to those in need… and to those in simple need of love, calmness and inspiration. Be the person now for others that you wish you had in your life when you needed a bit of inspiration and happiness.

Do all of the things
Go for a walk, with social distancing in mind, and allow nature to soothe your soul. Do all of those things that you never make time to do for yourself. This is the time. You have been given the gift of ‘time’.
Smile at the ordinary, look for the extraordinary, and embrace the smallest pleasures that you perhaps otherwise take for granted.
Life is extraordinarily amazing and beautiful. Human kindness is everywhere, and if you can do something to help another human, please just DO it. It is appreciated now in this time more than ever.
Let’s all strive to be the person who makes the difference in the lives of others. We, as human beings, can do beautiful things for each other. If you’re an animal lover as I am, perhaps look at this way — be the person your dog things you are.
Blessings of love, kindness and compassion to you.
Happiness lives here….within you and within all of us.
I’m a proud mom, a friend to many, and have a profound belief in human kindness.
My goal to live a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life includes my love to write about things that resonate with me. My gift to you is sharing my perspective on living a happy life.

xx
